Another Tranny Issue
Ok I have one small problem with my tranny now. If I'm cruising along in 5th and I come to a stop without downshifting into 4th and 3rd I can't get my car into 2nd or 1st without jiggling the shifter around a bit. If I do downshift through the gear then it normally goes right into 2nd and 1st. Anyone have any clue or advise as to how to fix this? Maybe some Syncro Mesh?

Doesn't sound like a common problem. I'll tell you that I dont think it has to do with you downshifting vs leaving it in gear when coming to a stop.
I don't think its the Fluid (checked it 3 times). I ran my tranny low on fluid for a day or two (maybe 24 miles drivin the whole time). I lost 5th and Reverse but then got them back. Ever since I got 5th back its been acting the way I described above in this post.

Chances are, they're your synchros going out. They're not DEAD, but they are weakening. I'd say your best bet is to flush the tranny out, pour new fluid and just take care of your tranny as much as you can.
Synchromesh is a band-aid for synchros that are on their way out. There's no harm in using it, so I'd even suggest trying that. Dont forget, the GM synchromesh with friction modifier is the one that HTers claim is the good one. Search for threads relating to it.
Good Luck
