Default Need help removing Console!!

Okay, I'm in the process of replacing the control panel surrounding the climate control in my 4th gen, and I need to remove the lower panel that surrounds the shift boot, once I have that up i can take the radio out and get to what I need to get to.

So basically, how would I go about removing the shift boot section from the rest of the panel? Can I just remove the boot itself, or are there screws or something holding the piece surrounding the boot?

I can get pictures if you need them, but I'm taking a break to eat then heading back out to figure something out, so any help as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure how it is on the 92's but on my 94 there were like 4-6 screws on each side. Just took those out and then pulled the console out. It was kinda hard because you got to pull it at certain angles and bend it a little etc.

you have 4 or 5 screws on each side of the console. The seats must be slid all the way back to see all of them.

you have two screws that go in upwards, just above the stereo face. You have to feel under the ledge just under the A/C controls, or look up under there to see them. They all must be removed.

The shift boot is held in by strong clips on each side of the shift ****. Only way to get boot off is by force.

once the shift boot is removed from the shift ****, the shift **** can be unscrewed and the center console removed w/ the boot still attached. Once the center console is off, look at the bottom side, and you can see the plastic ring that holds the boot in. A few screws later, and that is free as well.

On my 93 lude the the boot is held to the console by 2 screws. So i hope you dont go ripping anything apart thats supposed to be unscrewed.
