i was told advancing the ignition timing a few degrees helpls tremendously on 92-95 jdm ludes, .....is that right??

 

on My 95 lude H23 non-vtec i got the distributor advanced as far as it can go but i wouldnt recommend running anything less than super premium gas cuz u will get some pinging but i love the low end power i gained

 

its a very ghetto way of doing things.....

 

It depends where you want to make your power. If you advance it you'll get a little more power down low but lose it up top.

 

I don't understand why people think advancing the ignition increases low end power... advanced ignition timing is for top end...

Go to the dyno and try it then.

 

I never dynoed it, I'm just saying I don't understand why thats what happens.

I'm just basing that on the fact that the stock timing curve advances as RPM's increase?
