My poor GS-R has developed a few annoying sounds. It runs perfectly, but at about 3500 RPM, it has this strange scraping type sound. It just sounds like something rotating and rubbing against something while it's turning. I was thinking that it could be the distributor. What do Y'all think? My reasons for thinking this:
1. It sounds like it's coming from that area.
2. It shouldn't be the clutch, because I just replaced it. I did forget to put in the thrust bearing though...stupid me. (Could that be it?)
So...i'm thinking that it must be the distributor. It's strange that it's only around 3500 RPM and no other time. It also doesn't do it until it's warm.
Any Ideas?
