Default Buddy Club Spec 3+ and ITR valve spring and retainers

Will the B18C5 valves springs and retainers be strong enough to accomodate these cams? I did a search and couldn't find a topic on this. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

go with omnipower dual springs and retainers. ITR springs can cause binding with BC3+ cams.

id go with rocket.

you can pick up their valvetrain package for $250 shipped from the sponsors here on the board. VERY good use of your money

I'd go with either omniman's or rocket can't lose either way. But why don't you ask the mechanics at the shop where you take your car to???? They should know.

I have asked my friends that are mechanics and they told me that the ITR ones will work just fine. I just wanted to get a second opinion. Actually, more like a third and fourth opinions.

well i know rocket says for sure, and im sure omni and many others at their caliber would tell you to always upgrade your valvetrain. rocket says he would even upgrade with stock cams. to me, at that price it seems like there is no reason not to.

I am putting together the same setup. I chose these cams because they will work with stock type r valvetrain. Keep in mind the limits of the type r valve train. Don't spin it any harder and you should be fine. Also if I am not mistaken the powerband of these cams is well within those of the type r cams/ valve train

Honestly, the Type R valve train is fine with those cams. You shouldent be revving passed 8500k with them because they dont make power up there. If you want good insurance, go with omni or rocket products.

I believe K@tman was using an ITR valvetrain with his BC3+'s back when they started surfacing a year or so ago.
