Default Spring install trouble **Free Laugh**

ok today me and a few friends were installing my sprint springs, we took the stock springs off and install the new ones in 2 hours. we lower the car of the lift, and the rear is slamed but the front look stock..i know that cant be right..the stock springs were all the same size..but the sprints had 2 longer ones and 2 shorter ones..we put the shorts ones in the rear and longer ones up front, did we mix them up? but thats not even the funny part..my friend thought mabey the reason it was not lowerd any in the front was because the strut tower bolt (were the boot is under the hood.) was not tight enough, so he gets this bright idea to take a air gun and tightin down the bolt..can you guess what happends next?......the damn bolt broke off the top of the strut...yeh the bolt that keeps the spring compressed..so now i have my car sitting with the springs most likely on the wrong strut...and a broken strut in the front, which now if i hit a huge hole is gonna decompress the spring and im gonna die..so i cant drive the car. He is gonna buy me a new strut, i just dont know how to get the strut out now with out deing, any sugestion is good.... flame, hate, or help any thing is ok right now.. thanks alot.
*i know this is not really a prelude tech related subject, and im sorry for possably breaking the rules,..but ive already posted this in the suspention forum and im getting zero responces and i really need help.*

you guys are going to redo over again. the shorter springs should go to the front and longer ones go to the rear. As for the broken top rod, i have stock struts and shocks off a 99 prelude for cheap if you need. Or you can go to the shop pick up one there. good luck

don't worry, they will not fly off like stock springs.

even if you have the longer spring up front, it compressed quite a bit. there are like 4 coils touching...in fact it has comprssed the longer spring to be the size of the stock spring..so i get no drop..

think about this, as you lift the car up, you are decompress it, and it should come out easily since there's no scew on top

that's true too, you can always go to AutoZone and rent a spring compressor and strap that on before you jack up the car, remove the assembly and slowly relieve the tension on the spring. voila. good luck.
