Default Steering wheel nut??? Stripped threads?? :(

Hi,

First off, this is my first post so greetings everyone. I have a 1989 CRX HF with an LS integra swap. I am trying to remove the steering wheel but the big 19MM nut in the middle has stripped threads or something.

For instance, I put the socket on there and it grips and turns like its loosening but it doesn't actually loosen it just turns. I've tried hammering with a flathead under it to pry it off but it won't go lose. Is there some kinda clip I need to remove or something? I took off that metal ring already I don't know what else to do.

Thanks, Adam

jeez thats the worse kind

get a 3/8 air gun or mabye even a 1/2 air gun and try that along with prying from underneath(dont hit it...pry it upwards with a flat head..and keep pressure upwards, do this while giving power to the gun, doing this will hoepfully grab and come out), its gonna strip it out so u mite be able to save threads with a thread file or do a steering column swap
