just compare the graphs for yourself

Agreed. Your hp/tq under the curve is a s-load better.

compare the numbers from 5000+rpm
Vegeta: 105 @ 5000, 145 @ 6000, .....
Unlimited: 97 @ 5000, 130 @ 6000, ....
these are just estimates
but Vegeta's car is much stronger

I think my peak numbers were not as good because of having basicly a stoc intake setup.

I am going to put a Icebox in, and maybe then I will free up some HP,

But thanks for all the compliments

when Mike K was Tuning my car, he siad there was some more Peak HP he could of made, but told me the Midrange that he tuned my car for would be alot mroe benifitial

Very true. It's all about area under the graph. Come on, didn't you guys ever do integrals in school?

vegeta's car is strong as for what it is.
when he's caught in a bad gear on the street... he's way better off than a stock R... he has like 10-15 more than stock everywhere up until redline.

I only heard about AEM gain 10hps at around 4500rpm before, but never heard them gain 10 peak hps.
I wish when I put in the AEM, I will gain 10hps too.

I made just as much as Unlimited with my AEM as well....
I made slightly more and I attribute that to the addition of the testpipe...

though I have dialed down my base timing because I was fuggin around with some ish when I installed the 2pce gasket...

I posted up my graph long ago and nobody seems to pay attention hahhaha... I do it everytime somebody disses down AEM for not working etc.

this guy has like 3-4 more whp and hella lot more torque!!!

check it out!

ignore the mod list....

The real list is AEM, testpipe and that is it.....the rest of the stuff was a thinner headgasket... timing was conservatively set at 16deg or so.... oh and Spoon Sports ground type plug wires (borrowed from Alan at AJR....THANKS!)

Does it work?
I certainly am a believer... particularly since they can be bought used or cheap from groupbuys...

I certainly notice a nice improvement particularly when VTEC hits.... low end response is down a bit though..... but the gains far outweigh the losses....
then again two guys with white 2001's ran 168/119 and 170/120 ish bone stock!

I know I tried to get the world to switch about 3 months ago and everybody thought "integrated" or "average" HP was a great idea and would be a better measure, but it seems most people like to see the 5 HP spike between 8100 and 8300 RPM and think it usable.

Best part of integrated HP is you can set an upper and lower limit and find out what your usable HP is from gear to gear.

I what units is the integral of power (Watts) Kilowatt.hrs like PGE bills me for? Been too many years since physic and calculus, my head hurts.

Is there something with the dyno in Vancouver? It seem to me that it always give higher hps than the ITR dyno at other places?

Yes '01 dyno higher.

I heard it's because they have a CTR cam.

I dyno 170HP with mine bone stock and Ravage00 as my witness.

00-01should dyno higher than 97-98 since they have the CTR cams. Acura upgraded to CTR cams in 00-01 to make up for the loss of hp when they included the A/C. In 97-98, A/C was an option. Notice, the advertised HP is still the same at 195 even with the A/C. If you disconnect your A/C & P/S belts, you will get slightly higher dyno numbers or more HP.
