just like the title says. i took all the bolts off, and now only thing left is taking the knuckle off the axle. i cant seem to take it off. any suggestions on taking it off?
any help will be appreciated.
probably seized on there. give it a good wack or two. use some padding if needed.
btw, not many of us do a 5 lug conversion to 5 lug conversion...
why would you want to go from 4 lug to 5 lug? makes absolutely no sense unless you want to be "y0, i got a 5 lug car here! its almost a type R!"

But if you are trying to remove the 32mm bolt? Just get a beefy impact gun and nail it off. Get a hammer and give it a few knocks out. Doesnt take a beating to push it through.

nah, not that balljoint spot. im talkin bout the part where the 32mm bolt holds on to (the axle). i soaked it with wd40 and gave it a lot of swings with a sledge hammer and it wouldn't budge.
the 32mm bolt is already removed, im just trying to take the assembly off but couldnt

Dislocate the lower balljoint.
Once you have done this. Pull the hub/knuckle towards you. So when you tap it with a hammer, gravity will pull the axle away.

Don't be surprised if the axle and hub were never separated and are seized together.
I've had this happen to me once.

wedge a prybar in between the outer joint and the knuckle....it might help i getting it off..i just lightly tap the outer joint and it slides right out...
Soak it with pb blaster etc and let it sit - but chances are you will need to take it to a shop and have them pressed out. Its worth paying a few $$ to have that done than to trash the axles - when I did my wheel beerings they were stuck

Yup... then remove the whole knuckle along with axle and let the machine shop sweat it out.....

i had the exact same problem when i did the conversion. i took it to honda for them to push out the axle from the hub. costed my 70 bucks.
I concur with .RJ, if you are having great difficulties, take it to a shop to have it pressed out. Repeatedly beating on the axle could mushroom the head making it difficult, if not impossible to get a axle nut back on. If you DO want to continue beating it though... At least flip the axle nut around tighten it until it is flush with the axle, then whack away. You decrease the chances of ruining the axle.
