Default K20 ( type r ) into DC2. weight distribution? other problems?

i have NO idea where to post this.. so i'll leave it in a couple places:

i've run a search, but found no result. i'm looking to drop a K20 into a DC2 chassis. this will NOT be a drag car. as such, i am wondering if anyone can tell me how the motor sits in the chassis, as opposed to the b-series motors. if it sets farther back, i'm stocked. but if it sets FORWARD, than i'm gonna kill the idea 'cause i like how my car handles.
also:
what would i do about a gauge cluster? anyone have any ideas about that? i'm aware of the mounts i need, etc.
anything i'm missing? i'm 100% sure i want to try this if it fits how i want, but need to be sure it will work out okay before i start selling off stuff to save up the $$$.

you will not be able to run AC for sure power steering might not be able to be ran either.. but other then that it weights about the same just alittle bit bigger i did a k20a swap in a 93 hatch and my 91 integra.. in the integra i had neither but i hear u can run it.. as for anything else it shouldn't be much different from b series man.. check out google and search k20a swap i found a few walk threws that might be able to help u out..if u got anymore question let me know.

actually all the places iv seen say it actually weighs 5 pounds less than a b18c5
it doesnt sit any further forward than a c5 it sits the oposite direction inakae mani in front exhaust in back, and all the sites iv read say there are no adverse affects of putting the motor in, it wont handle any different

you cant safely lower the car as much because the oil pan sits lower the C5

If i were you id sell the R and use the left over money to buy a base model integra and purchase suspension and so forth. Why go through all the hassels of paying extra on insurance and having to worry about people trying to steal your R. Dont get me wrong I love the R, but if I were to consider swapping a stock b18c5 motor for something else I would consider doing what I just said. Thats just how id do it. Especially since youre going to start selling stuff off anyways like you said.

The engine and tranny combo weighs like 10kg less(22lbs), that may just be the engine itself. I can't seem to find the literature that states this. It is definitely not just 5lbs and it is not about the same just bigger. The K20 is a more compact engine compared to the B18.

who told you could not have ac? all you need is the k20 compressor and condenser, some custom ac lines(any radiator shop can do this) and your ready to go. you may be able to run the dc2 condenser as well.
but i think ps would be a bitch. but i think it is possible.

thanks guys. keep the info coming.

as for selling my R? hell no. this car handles night/day better than my GSR ever did. i'm not giving that up 'cause i'm worried about someone stealing it. i love my car and will never part with it.

good to hear i can keep A/C. that would have killed the whole project right there

i'll hit up the guys you mentioned. i wanna see if the car drives any different.
