d16y8 head on d16z6 block

Will a d16y8 head boost the compression ratio up on a d16z6 block? Thanks for any help.

I thought a mini me was a non vtech bottom end such as a d16y7 and a vtech head.

That is correct. The y8 head does give more compression than the z6 head does, but the z6 head flows better.
