CRX B-Series mount kits with high horsepower 3 or 4 mount, Traction Bar too
Here's the thing, I've always run a 4 mount setup on my CRX with B16. For some reason I always thought that it was best if the engine had as little movement as possible. I'm switching to a aftermarket crossmember and I'm wondering if I really need to run that front mount or not. If I do I'm going to have to make up a bracket and tig weld it on to the crossmember I get. Here's the setup.
Mounts: HCP 4 piece B-Series EF kit
Engine: B18C1 that is going to put out between 400-500hp
Traction Bar: It's looking like it's going to be LCON

On a crx the only mounts really controlling engine torque are the front and rear. The sides do very little for controlling engine torque. Unless you have 3 badass solid mounts, you really should have a front. The eg chassis is different, you have 3 total that control engine torque, the one rear and the two lower fronts. If you only have 3 on a crx and the side ones aren't solid, then the motor will pivot on the rear mount.

I've torn the bracket off the stock front cross member twice before but we were only using one side of the bracket because the B-Series front mount is off set from the D-Series. Looks like I'll be gridning and welding on a nice bracket on my new LCON bar.
