hello

i have a 95 wiht 170k and the steringwheel has started shaking when you brake at 70mph it shakes side to side about 1/2 inch

i assume something is bent louse or warped on the front end but not quite sure where to look or what specifically may be the cause

any ideas?

this is a totally common occurence when breaking at high speeds with many cars...it's nothing to be worried about i don't think, but if you can avoid it, don't put as much pressure on the breaks and that should alleviate the problem

check your rotors, they may be warped. might want to replace them.

 

yeah they are warped..you can prolly resurface them
