Default disabling daytime running lights

Does anyone here know how to disable the daytime running lamps on my 1990 crx?

I recently installed a set of sylvania silverstar lights and I know that they're life is around 1 year with average use. I do a lot of daytime driving and I feel that it would be waste to have the headlights on during the day and wasting the bulb's life.

Can I simply remove the daytime running lamp relay under the dash? I would like to NOT cut wires if possible.

Thanks

Are you sure it's not on your Cavalier or Sunfire?

Someone who previously owned your CRX must have hooked that up. You will have to figure it out, considering we didn't have DRL's from Honda.

In Canada they did this to all cars 1990 and newer? I don't know about that. Can anyone else back this up?

If so, my apologies. That sucks.

I can just pull the DRL fuse?

Yes in Canada any vehicle made after 1990 MUST have DRL.

Kinda sucks but I guess its safety....

I just looked under my dash and found the DRL fuse. It was a 10 amp fuse. I pulled it and I now the DRL don't come on.

Thanks for the tip.
