Default Another B18C post-- experienced members needed for advice.

I read some of the other guys' posts about what pistons etc to use in their B18C... I basically am looking for the same advice, yet I'll tell you what I already have. I want the most power, yet I want to keep some reliability since it's my daily driver.

Current Setup:
94-95 B18C LSD trans
ACT StreetDisc Clutch ***.
ACT Pro-Lite Flywheel
K&N Drop-In Filter
CTR Cams (00-01 ITR)

I do not plan to use nitrous. Next up, I am interested in upgrading the pistons, rods, and valvesprings, however I do not want to spend a ton. I'm debating between ITR or CTR pistons, and also if so, which valvesprings to go with. I was thinking about moving the intake valvesprings to exhaust side and then getting the ITR intake valvesprings. Supposedly GSR intake valvesprings are same as ITR exhaust? If I were to go with ITR, would anyhting else be changed to compensate, also, if I went with CTR, would anything else need to be changed to prevent interference, etc. I hope this is enough info, anything else, just let me know. Thanks!

Since this is going to be your daily driver, I would stick with the JDM ITR pistons, because the CTR pistons will yeild a very high compression. Just check out the sticky at the top of this forum for CR with PCT pistons.

As for the valve springs, my friend actually did what you stated. He was running CTR cams in his B16 and he moved the B16 intake springs to the exhaust and he got some GSR intake springs. He didnt have any problems with doing this.

Personally, when I had ITR cams I just purchased the ITR full valvetrain as well. It was just for piece of mind and they are really not that expensive. Now im running Skunk2 Stage 1s with ITR yellow outers and portflow inners
