most common integra parts to have on hand?
i just bought a 94 ls 4 door integra. it has 123k miles and has been very well maintained. i have all of the records. i will be putting 500-1100 miles a week on this car until it dies. i am going over to look at a totaled 96 ls teg next week and i just might buy it for spare parts. what parts should i strip off of the 96 and keep for myself? i want to know what are the most common parts failures on the ls integra. other than the dist and ecu what should i get? thanks to all integra owners. jim.
well if your looking for parts to replace, then you cant use parts that have been used on another car already. so if you need parts when it needs to be replaced, just buy it from the dealership.(timing belt, head gasket, piston rings...) you cant use any of those parts off a used car.

i have no intention of re using timing belts, piston rings (LOL) or head gaskets (another LOL) i want to know what else commonly fails on the teg. on my 89 civic i keep a spare ecu, distributor, injectors, turn signal/wiper controls, ect in the garage just in case. the lady who owned the car before me paid 400 at the shop to just replace the ignition coil. ouch.

just pull the motor out of the 96..and if anything happens to the 94 just swap it. Personally its an integra...not a lot of things will go wrong with ti...its a very solid car. Just keep it gassed up, oiled up and batteried up and change the timing belt when the manual says to do so and it'll run for a long time.
this lady who owned the car (a friend of mine) had EVERY belt, hose, and vacum line replaced at 90k when the timing belt and water pump were replaced. she also had the a/c compressor replaced for 600. the ecu for 800 ect. she took a ******* at the amoco. she thinks she did ok because she gets a loaner car when her car is in the shop. i have talked her out of ever going back there again. alamo rental is cheaper overall.
