HELP! Brownish Grease on inside of head.

HELP! Brownish Grease on inside of head.

I opened the oil cap and took a flashlight and saw a glob of brownish grease on the inside of head near the wall.
It's about the size of a dime.

Please help me find out what it is?

MAY POSSIBLY BE GREASE FROM DISTRIBUTOR.PULL OUT DISTRIBUTOR AND CHECK.

why would the oil by globby and grease looking?
just changed oil also

dont be affraid and pull the valve cover off to get a better look and maybe some pics. oh yea use your post wisely you only got 3 left for today

Pull the VC & inspect the head. How many miles on it? Whats the OCI?
