b16a or b18c swap?
since my gsr got stolen i am contemplating of getting a 92-95 hatch and swapping with either a b16a or a b18c? which setup is the best way to go? i might add turbo later on too... does anybody know the weight difference between these two engines and how much that will affect the speed. anybody got setups comparable to above? what are your hp's or times? thanks for all the help. i am getting kinda excited about this new project. peace!
How much money do you have???????
B16 for budget or B18 for someone with more cash in their pocket.
The weight difference wouldn't be enough to consider it an issue.
It all depends on your $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ flow.

Money is no object (yeah right!)
... i'll just have to save up for the b18c... i know someone here in town with a 5th gen hatch full leather integra interior with stock all motor b18 who ran 13.9 on slicks...

i am usually one of the first to point out the SEARCH function, but I see your 20 posts so I'm going to help you real quick as well as point out the SEARCH function.
My fiancee' and I both had identical 1992 Si hatches. She had a B16A2 - I had a B18C1. My car romped her car all day long. Both had i/h/e and cam gears, and the same ACT clutch.
My B18C1 put down 150whp and 124lb/ft. or torque
Her B16A2 put down 143hp and 102lb/ft. of torque
Stock vs. Stock the GS-R motor will romp the B16a pretty handily.
This is all from EXPERIENCE here, and first hand driving both cars every day in the same type of environment. Every day driving the B18C1 was more fun too - easier to pass withour having to rev the out of it
