Default 1 wire to 4 wire o2 sensor

I have a 93 cx with a d15b8 engine wth about 125,000 miles. I recently got a code 43. I searched and found most people believe that means a bad o2 sensor. The car seams to drive fine and on a recent road trip right before I threw the code I got about 36 mpg. My question is should I change the o2, and would there be any benefit in using a 4 wire heated o2 instead of the 1 wire I have now. Is that possible? Any help would be appreciated.

if u are using the stock cx ecu , there would be no point of doing it cause that ecu is setup for 1 wire O2.. unless u got the code after u put a different ecu in

if you put a 1 wire where a 4 wire is saposed to be you will get a check engine light all the time as well as shitty gas mileage
