Swapping H23 out of Automatic Si.........need a lil info
I was wondering how much should I look to spend on an assmebled shortblock and also could I use an an accord F22 block for it as well to just get the car running. Would it also matter if the car was automatic or standard?? Are those interchangeable?? Any help would be greatly appreciated............thx

All H23's are basically the same manual or auto and a used longblock can be had for about $500 unless you go through an engine importer then it's about $950. They will bolt in the same as any F22A or H22. The USDM '94-'97 F22Bx and '98-'02 F23A have different mounts but they can be swapped for earlier H22/H23/F22A mounts and it will be easy again.
Manual and Auto ECU's on the other hand are different and you should match them with whatever transmission you intend to run.

Well we decided to go with an F22 shortblock out of the 90-93 Honda Accord, which mounts will we have to run and will there be enough clearance for the stock H23 Exhaust manifold?

you need to run the stock 4th gen prelude mounts, the accord mounts hold the motor a bit different
