for those that dont know.. its a 99 civic ex w/ a gsr dash. the air bag wont fit unless i totally hack up the dash support. which means i would have to make some totally trick brackets to mount the dash.. i dont have the time/tools to make the type of brackets i would like right now.. sooo.. i ditched the airbag.

and i was tired of stuffing that big *** ecu down in the kick panel and then having to ziptie all the wires up under dash to whatever i could... this way. my ecu is out of the kick panel, and i ran my wires up behind the HVAC boxes.

and then my VAFC is mounted in the glove box.




piece of metal i cut to mount the ecu on, trimmed it as much as needed to fit in that hole..


i then welded that metal plate to that dash support rod in pic 1. then bolted the ecu to it.




VAFC angled a little bit to face the drivers seat.

hey thats a pretty good idea of labeling the plugs on the ECU... Imma do that, I always get that **** confused.

 

ahhaha.. oh yeah.. thats when i first got it.. i couldnt remember which one was which..

but i repainted the ecu covers now.. both sides are black.

hehehe.. sorry to be a dissappointment... the VAFC was a gift along time ago ok. im not set up to do uber anyway.. i know its not that expensive..

i guess im just hesitant to learn it cuz i dont know it completely... understand where im coming from?

i still hope for an AEM EMS one day...

Hows the dash coming along? VAFC is a long look away from the track/road.
