Default lower rad hose

I am changing my lower rad hose today. I have a b16 in my 95 coupe. I am using a gsr lower rad hose, but it seems that the diameter of the hose is larger than the opening on the rad. So when i filled it up with coolant and started to burp it i noticed that it was leaking from where it attaches to the rad.
Do i need a different hose? It fits the thermostat housing nicely, but doesn't seem to fit the rad.
