Each gear is adjustable +/- 10º (advance/retard) and accurate to within 1 minute of a degree (60 minutes in a degree)! Because of their design, Tuner Series gears are lighter than the original OEM gear. The outer cog on our gears is hard-anodized, preventing wear from the timing belt. They also utilize a 4-bolt locking pattern with stainless steel hardware. This design not only provides a stronger clamp load on the sprocket once set, it also provides a lifetime of worry-free adjustment.
Another important point, at this price conscious level, is that tolerances on these parts are held to .001”. This is especially important between the center and outer cog. Achieving .001" tolerances here is something never before seen in this price range. Tooth profiles are extremely important when machining a gear. Long term reliability of the cog and belt are directly related to the machining of the tooth profile. Our tooth profile matches exactly with the OEM specifications for each gear we make.
Horsepower gains can vary widely depending on what has been done to the vehicle. Gains from 5 to 20 horsepower can be realized. In our instructions we have recommended settings for your specific vehicle. For best results on highly modified vehicles we recommend a trip down to your local dyno shop.
