Anyone installed air ride.
I was wondering if any has installed air ride on a 92-95 Civic coupe or a 88-91 CRX. I was just wondering how it rides. I want to modify the suspension so that both of them sit on the ground without body kits.

Uhmmm Likes its on Air... heheheheheeh
Actually a guy I work with has a truck with air bags on it, and it ride pretty good depending on how much psi is in the air bags.

yeah... we used to rig custom air-shock jobs running off of nitrogen. JUST AIR SHOCKS, nothing else. rides extremely smooth, and comfortable- control goes out the window tho. you can't stop, corner/turn or take off like you can with real suspension. fashion over function

For most of the idiot stunnas on this site, air bags are the only feasible solution. For some odd reason the stunna kids get the idea into their heads that lower is better and want to ride around on their bump stops all day - yet they still want a stock-like ride quality. This is obviously not possible with conventional coilover suspension. People need to either start learning that dragging your rocker panels on the ground is anti-performance, or they just need to give up on performance and bag their wannabe show cars.

in all honesty, air suspension is air suspension- airbags, canisters or air shocks. In that, they all perform the same function, and for the most part, work the same way. The reason we went with air shocks is that 1) it cost less than bags or cans, 2) they were easy to build, and 3) had a more profound height/drop range, which is mainly what people want out of air suspension. Now, when i say rigged- i mean GHETTO RIG'd. Scavenging for parts at pep boys, hose man and home depot was a weekend activity. Oddly enough, the air shocks setups were fairly reliable. Yeah, performance sucked, but that wasn't the point. Back then, it was about bling blangin around the towne centers and hoping to place with Danny and LJ Garcia at HIN with the three-tone interior jobs.
