heat dissipation question regarding intake manifold
I have a gasket kit installed to keep the IM cool and avoid heat soak from the motor. It literally stays cool to the touch and works great to help keep intake temps down. But it sorta got me wondering if that can be a bad thing since heat is not able to be dissipated from the head/block? possibly causing harm or damage over the long term to internals? thermometer readings appear to be fine, but it is just a thought similar to how brake rotors need more mass in order to dissapate heat better (or something along those lines).
Silly... thats what the radiator is for
I don't think any harm can come to the block or it's guts from a gasket between the IM and head.
