Different locations for calipers?
iv been looking threw a bunch of pictures iv got saved on my computer
and noticed a couple things one of them is alot of the cars have there calipers located in different postions on the rotor
e46 m3's the caliper is behind the rotor in the middle
supras behind the rotor but more towards the top of the rotor
nsxs in the front of the rotor
s2000s same as the bimmers
itrs in front like the nsx
is there a reason to have them in different spots, performance reasons?, just manufacturer preference?

It is probably cooling. Depending on the aerodynamics of the car depeneds on how the caliper is located. The air dams on the integras (with JDM front) have kits for brake coolers. I know the bmw's have the side vents on the fender. I know it looks good, but it probably has some function of pulling in air for the brakes.
Just my 2 cents
