ran a 12.3@99 and 7.9@94 in the 1/8th in the vid...you can hear and see when the motor let go...stock ls with straight t3 turbo...was hoping for 11s but drove home on 3 cylinders instead =/

7.9 in the 1/8 is still on par w/ mid-low 12 sec. run. Good numbers though still. You guys have been abusing that motor on a hack/450 setup for a while now so, you had to expect it to give sooner or later.

how can you say its on par for a mid to low 12 sec run.
he DID run a low 12 sec run...a 12.3 with it blowing towards the end and coasted to the finish line with a 99mph.
that was definitly an 11 sec run....just decided to go at the wrong time...could have gave it just one good pass down the 1/4 mile.

the car usually runs 7.7s in the 1/8th...thats why i was aiming for 11s...the run in the vid i kindof bogged off the line and 60 ft was like 2.0...

do you like that turbo?(small turbo) I have one and was hoping it would be good on my b20 with gsr tranz in a ex coupe. thats a nice simple setup running 12's.

I was saying that 7.9 in the 1/8 is on par w/a low-mid 12 sec. run. Not syaing it wasnt's going to be an 11 sec. run (especially w/ his boost creep issue) but, 7.9 in the 1/8 equates to about 12.30-40.

the turbo's ok...you gotta run a lot of boost though to make any power with it...and at higher boost levels it gets worn out really fast...the moment i started running 20 psi the oil seals blew...

We have a low mileage bottom end going in soon. The one that let go was the original 91 B18A1 with well over 100K miles. The fuel setup's going to be changed also.

There was no mess because the way it blew was just a piston letting go (cracking a ring land) and not a hole in the block from rods flying or anything. We still drove it an hour an 45 minutes back home. Looked like Uncle Buck driving home, but we made it.

Those were 24.5x8x13s on old school DPR drag wheels. I think nancy took a few videos last night, and there's some from last week also that shows the times. They're still not edited yet, I think Lay might be posting them somewhere, not sure.

It blew no.4 cylinder after the 1000ft, it trapped 94.48 at the 1/8th mile mark.
