i was thinking of using a roto zip and just laying the glass over the lexan and just trace it with the roto zip

Where are you guys getting your lexan from? From the prices I have seen, dang, same cost as just buying some.

forgot about that, i used a jigsaw also. i bought a special blade that was pretty coarse cause i was afraid that the fine tooth count of a metal blade might melt the lexan VS cut it.

could you go a little more in depth on how you mounted it, how it fit and so on?also did you do the windshield as well?i'm worried about getting the right curvature on that and the hatch window\

oh and you dont drive on the streets do you?what did you use for your dash?

i took out the front window and traced it onto the lexan, then i mounted it with some LR screws (square drive) with painted black heads. the front window is a pain to get out cause of all the urethane they use to mount them in with. i havent done the rear window yet, im just goin to get a piece of lexan and use a heat gun to mold it before i mount it, should be pretty straight forward and simple.

looks killer man, real nice

yeah like evryone else is probably wondering, could you get some close up shots of the windows, or since they have the black trim how about someinside shots to show mounting.

you should do a write up with some pics when you do the back glass, since you seem to be about the best guy for it.

also with lexan on the back hatch, can you use the factory latching system to close it????, or something similar, this is the only reason i dont want to do it. i have to open it to turn on and ount the bottle, but i may mount it on the roll cage instead

you have a "lip" on the underside of the windows that the urethane mounts to. just figure out how often u want to drill a hole in the lexan, drill it and put a screw in it.

i think if u formed the lexan almost perfectly there is no reason u couldnt use the factory mounting points or the factory latch to use on a piece of lexan. the black surround i have on the windows is just paint. i just took a 2" piece of wood and put a pen right next to it followed it around the outside of the window and then i took my razor knife and sliced the protective film on the lexan. took the protective film off the lexan spray painted it and now u have a black border around the window like the factory. remember to paint the inside of the window then u will have less chances of chipping the paint.

its highly illegal to drive on the streets but yes in fact once in awhile i do drive it on the streets. there were a couple of races b4 i got a trailer when i had no choice but to drive it to the track like that. i do go on the backroads to do some pulls with the car to wideband tune the car.
last year i even passed a cop goin the other way while in the car. he didnt even take a second look at me. it was licensed and fully insured too.

sorry to jump back in, but i just noticed is your front window lexan as well?? if so it looks pimp!

are your doors factory metal or fiberglass??

if they are metal how did you, or what did you brace them off of, i was gonna use a heat gun like you said and make them like factory windows and just mount them back in the window tract

on the rear side windows, couldnt you use some kind of weather strip or something to help cause a little better of a seal??

i have never seen the EG rear windows out until the pic above, i didnt realize there was that large of a lip to bolt to! nice pics.

how or what did you use to mock up the shape and size of the window, or did you just lay the piece over and trace it, keep us posted, cause i wanna do this now more than ever

i used a foam sealer they use on houses. its flexible and they just stuff it into the space between the window and the framing of the house. i also reused the "rubber" seals that are on the rear 1/4 panel windows to make it more "stock" looking. it turned out really nice and thats what i was aiming for.
just trace them.

oh yea to clarify the price it was 75$ + tax for 3 by 6 sheet
