Default Need help with my b16 build!! Please Read!!

Alright, I'm new to the honda-tech website so please just bare with me. I need a little help with my build. I have the b16a2 in my 99 si and I recently aquired a Pr3-4 head brand new from the factory along with all its complete components. I have my intake manifold ported and polished as well as a 74/69 taper bored throttle body. I have the standard I/H/E. Since i'm swaping the old pr3-2 head for the new pr3-4 head I wanted to do internal work while i have it open. I wanted to replace the pistons/rings/rods and I'm def. gonna need a new head gasket. I just want to know what i should run as far as pistons/rings/rods and head gasket??? I'm def. going to run a nx wet kit that i already have most likely the 35 or 55 shot. Since the b16a2 motor is already kinda low compression i was thinking about maybe staying with the low compression??? The bottom end itself has about 90,000 miles on it. I just want to make a strong build so that it can handle my 35-55 shot of nitrous without any problems and maybe in the future add a supercharger. Your thoughts, concerns, pros, cons are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

if you go to the forced induction forum i think youll get a little better response. since this is an all motor forum, us guys arent gonna be too happy with you using nitrous.

ok im sure u already know u posted in the wrong place , but How low is the compression? If you're gonna run a 55 wet have like 11.1 compression and it will run good. Of course it will need to be tuned by a good tuner. YOU dont NEED low compression for nitrous. its all in timing and octane bud

I have a 00 EM1 and the stock head on it is a PR3-4 so I'm not sure how your car can only be one year older and have a PR3-2. That engine will easily handle a 35-55 hp shot of nitrous without any modifications the way it is now so if you're only rebuilding your engine to handle the nitrous you can save youreself a lot of time and money, cause you don't have to.

Go with a 55 shot. thats pretty much idiot proof. NO timing retard needed. keep your Stock Cmp for Nitrous. Just use a minimum of 93 Octane and get some cold cold cold *** plugs and ull be good. But be careful once you spray ull be Very addicted
