Default 225 on 6.5" rims?

is 225/50/15 too wide for 15" * 6.5" rims?

thanks

or is it better to stick with 205/50/15?

205/50/15 is going to work out nicer, but if you really need the traction, then stick with 225.

if you feel its too wide meet halfway... try a 215...personally i would stay 205 on a 6.5... maybe i will try 215 next time so that i have input to give....

I have 215 45 16 azenis on a 6.5" wheel. Works well. turn in is a bit less sharp than with my 205 SO3s, but as long as you have the psi up to ~40 it should be fine. I don't know if this would be any less applicable on a 15" wheel though.

so it's probably better off with 205's on 6.5?

if tire is too wide it might rub too? my car is pretty slammed right now.

I have 205/50-15 MXs on 15x6.5 and they are wonderful.

I'll be using 225/45-15 RA1s on 15x7, I'll let you know how they do.

I got BFG radials 225/50/15 on my 6.5s, and it depends if u want straight line acceleration or handling. if u want handling get 205, straight line get 225, their really sick. My tires look really beefy w/ the 6.5s. 225 all the way..
