Default can't grip for ****, need help!!

my car has 512whp and I am having problems getting it to grip or to get good times. my tires are M/T 24.5x8x14 I have them set down to 11psi, and it doesn't grip til at the end of third gear. I launch pretty high (around 7). so far the best time I've pulled off was a 12.5 at 122mph.

side note: I have 402ft.lbs. @5800

any tips or help is appreciated.

Your going to have traction problems with that much power. Best bet is to use common sense and let off when it's spinning and give more gas as traction becomes more available. A two stage boost controller would help out alot and just limit the boost till 3rd gear.

the thing is that I tried that and I can't figure out when it stops spinning. The only way I know it grips is because in 3rd. gear my RPM's go to 8500 and then they come back down to 6500 and then they creep up again. I was thinking about trying 8 psi on the tires, but I don't know if that will be too low.

I run 6 psi on my slicks.

Shouldn't your mph be a lot higher if you have that much power?

lower the tire pressure, its too high...anywhere between 5 to 10 psi (cold) depends on your set-up, driving, & traction

What are your shift points? (or whats your redline) are you shifting into 5th gear?

no, my car can go to 9500, but by 7500 I have 512. I am shifting at 8500. I am going to try lower psi on the tires, (maybe 6). I am getting to 4th. gear, but it's slipping.

to rephrase: my third gear goes to 8500 and then if I hold the gear and don't shift it'll come down to 6500 and then creep up to shift point again. Then I shift to fourth and it climbs to 8500 and again it comes back down but by then the track is over.

I know my car is running like **** including the mph's. Maybe you didn't see that I am asking for help not sarcastic replies. ha ha

-get traction bars
-what is your suspension set up?
-what chasis and what motor?
-what motor mounts?

I built my EM1 550+hp and 406tq and i ran 11.0 @ 132mph spinning 26x9x15 MT Slicks on 8psi and not getting traction the whole time. I just sold the car (check my sig)

I would reccomend M&H 25x8.7x13 slicks for you!
