For people that use 60-1's and bigger
do you guys get full boost in first gear like running 15psi +
i know its hard to tell on street tires but what about slicks at the track
When i was driving the other day i notice on a first gear roll ill hit the gas and boost climbing in to i hit the revlimter and that's around 15psi and right when i go 2nd i hit bam! 20psi where it should be set at
i know there no need for 20psi in first gear but i just want to make sure that my car is not the only car that does this

its rare to have full boost in 1st gear, theres hardly enough load on the engine to spool anything up, especially on a larger turbo. 2nd gear is generally the funnest gear if you can find traction

I run 17 daily (low boost) on my garrette 60-1 with .82 a/r and I get about 1 bar (15psi) in first as all it does is spin and second same cause all it does is spin and if Im lucky to get traction in 3rd Ill hit full boost and same with 4th. If I hit it in 3rd at about 100km/h-110km/h, It hooks up and goes like snot and reaches full boost almost right away!

Not enough oad in first gear Derron! 2nd to 5th all good. Do this test, get onthe highway and even at a low rpm in 5th just floor the gas, you will notice it doesnt take much to start building boost in 5thgear due to the load.
