Ok just installed the STR 68mm throttle body.


My car is automatic. Its acting quite weird with how stiff the throttle is now.

OK 1 to 2nd shifts fine. Going into 3 it shifts very slow and drags out . Not as bad going into 4th. And if im going lets say 25mph n floor it it misses the gear and i have to let of quick n get back on it.

It this something i can adjust on the throttle body? Like loose the spring or something. Please any help would be super appreciated!

 

Why would you put a TB that big on an automatic? The stock auto H22 has a smaller TB to likely keep throttle engagement smooth

 

Put the stock TB back on, and if it still does it, then you know you need to adjust the TPS properly to get it running right.

 

Hawkze. Would the TPS make the gear engage weird.. its sorta cool tho cuz it pulls the whole way as it shifts into third.. never lets off to shift.. but only thing is when i smash it .. it jus revs out to hell n misses the gear, What does the TPS need to be set too. Thanks Guys!

 

Hmmm... I don't think the TPS would cause that, but it could be related. When my TPS has messed up in the past, I would get an eratic idle and lots of stumbling and rough acceleration. I just brought up the TPS because you changed it and probably didn't calibrate it.

Do a search in the archives for "adjust TPS" and you'll find several threads with good info.
