Default San Diego Help! Camshaft?

I was wondering if it is necessary to degree camshafts even if adj cam gears will be used? I am going to run crower 403 cams and another concern is if the cams produce enough lift to cause any piston to valve clearance issues. Is there anyone in San Diego who needs some extra cash who can help me clay my motor and degree my cams. Thanks.
