Default 91octane only need more Socal.

Motor is pinging before and after it was tuned. Is there anyway I can mix something with my gas to raise the octane? Like buy some 100octane and mix it with what i got or something? what can i do?

where in SoCal are you located, becasue there is a 76 gas station off the 10 fwy that sells 100 octane, but its $5.25 a gal. Or you can just buy some octane booster.

BTW, whats your setup and whats your CR?

Located at orange county. Octane booster doesn't do ****....it only boosts it up how much, .1 percent or something? Setup is ls/v with PCT pistons. 12+CR.

I dont know how much it would boost your octane but you should check out the label to see how much it would up your octane. Also since your not too far from the 76 gas station. You can take the 10 west and exit Citrus.

Make your own Octane Booster. Go to the local hardware store and get some Toulene.

Toulene is 114 Octane.

With 91 Octane...
10% Mixture will make 93.3 Octane
20% Mixture will make 95.6 Octane

Use octane booster too frequently and you will gum up your fuel injection system and leave harmful deposits behind. It should be used as a band-aid not a cure.

The Unocal off I5 and La Paz sells 100 octane at the pump.

I keep 5 gallon pails of VP 103 at home.

Yes, your home made Toulene brew would be considered an Octane Booster, and it's a lot cheaper than buying 100 Octane.

What's the downside to using Toulene? Bad valve seals?

Toluene which is a highly voltile pure aromatic hydrocarbon. If you inhale that deep, you will get cancer in like 3 seconds.
