Default can it be that i have obd0 in my 95'civic DPFI?

I'm from Norway and i have a standar civic 1995 LSI, the motor is of the DPFI kind. My ECU is a P04, and after searcing on the net it is a OBD0.
How can i double check. any pictures of the different ECU's plugs?

Can i still install the B18c5 motor and use an P28 chipped ecu?

Help me please.

Kristian

For my understanding, the previous owner must have put a Civic DX motor into your car...(Dual Point Fuel Injection). Yes, you can have a ITR motor running off of the chipped P28. Just make sure the ECU you are using is really chipped and you are not be scammed with a "virgin" p28.

So i just have to get a harness from obd0 to obd1 and a chipped p28.

thinking of buying from http://www.jkobd.com seems as a good guy.

BTW the DPFI is a europen thing. The engine is the orginal.

THAT IS NORMAL!!!!!!!!

We got the same with 1993 Civic, I'm from Latvia!

We swapped D16Z6 in the place of D15B2 and it was OBD-0!

Strange, but fact.

Well the best way is change all under dash board wiring from: ESI (D16Z6), VSE(D15Z6) or VTI(B16A2) models. That's half of day job. And you will get right fuel relay and ECU wiring under panel. That's not difficult to remove the dash board and put it back. If you have engine with wiring on it, then it will be plug and play swap.

The wiring from drivers side anyway are the same as in any injected eg chassis.
But there are to many work to do with passenger side wiring, plugs, connectors. If you want to do some mods with stock wiring, I can say, it dose not WORTH it. You will lose lot of time and money! I did by my self this OBD-0 to OBD-1 wiring swap to our car last year. Relay, it dose not worth it. Change under dash wiring.

We did the 1.3 carburettor EG swap to D16Y8........can you imagine that!

If you get your C5 with original wiring, that's good. The most biggest problem in under dash wiring. Drivers side wiring in engine room have 3 plugs. Ignition plug to mine fuel relay, power distributor connector where all yellow/black wires( that connector will be on B18C5 wiring), third plug for different sensors from engine. They are the same as in all EG civic.

They are the same as on every 92-95 civic and all ITR Integras till 2000 have the same wiring sytem. Only with OBD-2 ECU. Third plug will be with B18C5 engine wiring:

GET OBD-1 plugs for ECU. ANY PLUGS FROM ANY PRELUDE or CIVIC with OBD-1 type connectors. Take the OBD-0(D15B2) and OBD-1(B16A2 recommended) wiring diagrams and just rewire the mine ECU plugs. There are some ~ 50 cables. Half of day to that kind swap. Did it on Sunday and you will save some money not to buying OBD-0 to OBD-1 connectors. During this job you will get a lot of experience, how work and controls the engine.

First off all you must start with injector connection. Start with that.
Get Brown, blue, yellow and red wires to wright places in ECU. As you can see in your D15B2 wiring diagram there are only two injectors. Get B16A2 OBD-1 wiring diagram for your self. That's no problem if you going to use P28 ECU. Much easy to understand how B18C5 are working with B16 diagrams.

Second step are to correctly wire the distributor sensors. As I wrote you don't need to worried about spark cable connector (Black/yellow and Black/white) because it's in the same location as on D15B engine.

Ask any question or send PM.
