Default cat converter

hi guys

reemed my stock cat out
didnt feel like spending the money on a high flow cat.
230 bucks or more.

well my enigne light is on now
i probably will get a high flow cat someday
but for now does anyone know how to over ride the o2 sensor
or make it read right
so the light goes of
and my car doesnt run rich anymore

The O2 sensor at the cat didn't do anything except to tell the ECU the cat is functional or not. Your car would run as normal as when the CEL is not on. So if you want, just put a black tape over the CEL, so you won't see it.

No, if you put a high flow cat on your CEL would not come on.

Take tin foil and wrap the O2 sensor with metal wire. Reset the ECU and your CEL will go away. This should last for several months until the tin foil burns away.

why is the light on? are there two censors on the usdm model? I checked mine, was thinking of removing and there was only one censor, and that was infront of the cat converter so it wouldnt make a difference to the censor if it was removed

i have a 2000
on mine they put a sensor before the cat
and in the cat
it sucks
the stock cat really is restrictive
now that i have honed it out my car is noticably faster an alittle louder
