what is this Relay?......Civic 96

anybody know what relay is this?..located under dashboard, civic 96......its not main relay rite?..thanks.



what happen if i disconnect this relay?..coz 3 wire connected to it already cut off.....

and here the picture of wire coned been cut off...........help me please before i disconnected this relay...........


Is that related to the starter interlock system? That stuff doesn't let you start the engine unless the clutch pedal is pressed down. Or with an auto trans, it has to be in P or N.

Nope, it is in the contol unit for the shift interlock circuit:

It makes sure you can't remove the key when the car is out of park. I can't tell what wires are cut so I can't tell what effect they will have. See if you can get the colors, or a better picture.

actually previously my stock engine is D15B auto tranny. rite now already converted to B16A manual tranny........
and wire cut off is yellow, green and black........what will be effected if i disconnect this interlock relay?

If you can remove the key from the ignition normally, then the interlock has no effect on anything else.
Just for future reference, some wires in Hondas have 2 colors on them, a solid color that covers the wire, and a thin stripe running down one side. Both colors are needed to determine the right wire. In this case, the yellow wire has a black stripe, the green wire has a white stripe, and the black wire is just black. You can see all this from the wiring diagram and the labels for each wire. The main color is listed first, then the color of the stripe is listed after the slash (/).
