ok so i bought another s with low miles.
The problem is its last oil change was over 1 year ago. Engine was started and run here and there. Only about 2k miles over that year.
Do i need to do anything extra regarding this oil change?

umm thats not good... no oil change in a year?? ummm you're supposed to change your oil ever 3000 miles or every 3 months or so.... there might be a little more damage in the motor then you might realize....
What up Jimmy. Glad you got another S.
Since the car has low miles, you should be fine. Change the oil as soon as possible. Normal oil is fine, just change the filter to. Since really hasnt been driven there shouldnt be any damage.
Never looked at the S oil change specs in the manual, but I know most of Hondas 4 cylinders are good for 1 oil change a year for normal driving. Not the best routine, but thats what the books says.

ok thanks, just picked up filter and mobil1 today. also picked up fluids for trans and diff. did those on last car so i figure i would start fresh with this car also.
i am thinking after i drain the oil i might let two quarts(regular oil) run through to drain pan to get out any mush that might be in there. i can then change filter and fill with new oil.

i understand that but i also know it should not sit in car for too long, hence the change.
The car is coming up on 3 years old, if taht is the casei will have to change it when weather gets warmer. i have never did that before (i helped do mine on an integra once) because i dont have the correct tool to draw the fluid through.

The K20 says it can go 10,000 miles without a oil change in normal conditions. I cant tell you how many RSX's came into the dealer with no oil left.

Blew because of no oil or over rev? We had just as many come in from over reving. Than they tried to lie about it, but the RSX ecu has memory of highest rpms. I think Ive seen one that was at 10500. That one had a hole in the block.
