How much oil and trans fluid?
Hi, my girlfriend just bought a bb6 and I need to change all of her fluids. However, the car didn't come with the owner's manual so I gotta ask for help from the members of h-t.
I am needing to know how much oil goes into the motor and how much trans fluid goes into the tranny? This is a base model (non-SH) and has an auto trans, year 2000. I'm pretty sure it's 2.9 qts of ATF, but how much oil? 4 or 4.5? Thanks in advance.

5 quarts of oil and about 3quarts of tranny fluid. Just fill the tranny fluid until it comes out the side.

Do you know how many times I've changed my oil??? I have changed my oil 8 times since I've had my car. If you are so concerned, buy 5 quarts and keep filling until the dipstick reads full.

5.1 or 5.2 quarts for the motor
1.9 for the manual trans but i always end up using 2.5 or more because got dangit, that damn hole being perpendicular to the ground really makes it hard to not spill, even using my my tube funnel.
what i'm saying is, just have a 3rd bottle of MT oil just in case.
hope that helps.
