I have the VSD Sports. It is a very nice HUD. It offers digital Speed, bargraph RPM, trip, 0-60mph, 1/4 mile, etc.

Yes and yes.

I just installed one in my friend's NSX for him the past weekend...the third one I've installed...pretty straightforward. You just need to know the wiring harness diagram on your specific car.

How much are the they? Looks really good but I wonder how the RPMs read.

 

It will read off the engine speed OR the road speed - not both at the same time. The RPM resolution is only 100rpm increments. The MPH (or kmph - you can select either american or metric) resolution is 1mph increments. However, it doesn't change quickly...a little lag. I only use it for MPH when cruising so I don't have to look down at night (I have crappy night-vision, and don't like to take my eyes off the road.), or on the track before I downshift to make sure I won't over-rev the engine.

I think Options Auto sells them for $179 + shipping.

Came stock on my old 240SX All it said was speed..I had to get used to looking down again after I sold it!

yeah it was stock on some 300zx's also... what was up with that??? Nissan was trying to be all high tech in the early/mid 90's...

 

yeah its on my mother-in-laws 2001 vette. kinda net i guess.

 

Yah, how does the RPM show up? Does it lag? Good replace for a tach?
