Default help with a disturbing decision between D16Z6 and B16A?

95 Civic DX sedan w/D15b7 and DX tranny

D16Z6 would be a pretty easy swap plus it has V-tec but I dont know any places to get one from.I also want a EX/Si tranny swap for it (automatic since it would take a bit to convert to manual) but dont know of a good place to get one from either, also what year tranny would be best thats just interchangeable.

With the B16A can you just swap the Engine, Tranny, Ecu, and wire V-tec and be good to go or would I need to swap out the axles, and half shaft.

plan on going turbo also. thanks for the help!

W/ B16 you will need axles, linkage, etc.

$2200 for B16 and 135(give or take)hp, no tourqe yet and you'll still need to drop around $1500 plus on a turbo orrrrrr $1900 for ex engine/tranny swap and greddy kit making 150-160hp and around 140 lbs./tq. To me the decision is obvious if you're on a budget and want to be some what quick. But, if this is your daily, boost can cause loads of trouble if you don't know what you're doing.

If you are automatic.. you should consider converting to manual. It's not that difficult.. other than the tranny swap all you have to do is some wiring and clutch pedal parts. If you are going to turbo and still use the automatic tranny. Don't expect it to last long. It'll start to slip real bad and you'll probably end up converting to manual anyways or spending a lot of money to rebuild the auto tranny.
