It will probably come back on almost immediately if there is a problem and it is not corrected. resetting the code doesn't "fix" it.

pressure sensor is high? lol sounds like a personal problem for the sensor. lol j/k
Anyways, is that indicating the MAP sensor? I don't have access to my HELMS here at work, so I can't futher diagnose. what kind of mods do you have to the engine?

LS with the rev hard turbo kit, and my exhaust
I know resetting the code doesn't fix it, but im wondering when it will turn back on, because it didn't for me.
And I need to fix it right before i go to emissions

I'm not sure where you got the code definitions from... but they are not right.
P0450 does not exist in the Teg or Civic Helm manuals.
P0453 is Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input.
open in fuel tank pressure sensor circuit
fuel tank pressure sensor faulty
ECU faulty

pressure sensor sounds bad, its on the sending unit. i can post the diagnostic chart if you want, im just too lazy to do it without an answer (i dont want to get it if you dont know how to use it). you'll need your scanner, a dmm, and some time. theres also a chance you could have an evap vapor line closed off or something silly like that. at least evap isn't leaking, its just a bad sensor or something to that effect.
AT first it threw p0453 on the scan tool and said pressure high, then then later on when i check it now in the memory it says p0450 - evap system fault, i think.
Yeah i prob would not know how to use the chart

Bringing an old thread back to life since i didn't get any answers during my searches. I got a 97 GSR pulling both P0450 and P0453 CEL codes. What do they refer to, i've seen fuel tank sending unit, i've seen evap system malfunction, what do I need to replace?

yea im looking for an answer too. i just put a 94 gsr swap into a 97 ls. everything ran fine for the first day. then i get up in the mourning and go start the car. the check engine light comes on. its throwing 450 and 453. evap malfunction and high pressure sensor. i got it looked at at autozone. and then i went to the shop i use to work at and got the code reader out and it gave the same code. the only thing i didnt use is the gsr evap silaniod but i used a ls evap because the gsr one was broken. and this thing is funny. when i clear the code. it would not come back until i start it up in the mourning. i could be driving for hours and it would not pop up. but the next mourning it pop right up. im just want to know what i should fix so i dont have this on all the time.
Same scenerio as myself, it only came on after sitting overnight, but say, I started the car in the afternoon after sitting all morning, it won't come on. I replaced all the evap hoses and that seems to have fixed it. It hasn't come on in about 3 days now.
im try that. but i think i found out what it maybe. the first time it came on was when i took the gas cap off and started the car. i forot that i took it off. so im going to buy me a new gas cap and see what happens. will let u guys know..
