Default D15B oil pan dented

I just finished my D15B vtec swap and the auto tranny shifts very inconistently. Also, sometimes vtec is very noticeable and at other times i cant feel the changeover. How noticeable should it be on a single cam motor? Also, my oil pan has a good size dent in it and i didnt replace it because i wasnt aware of how it may affect performance. My question is this, do you think the oil pan is ******* everything up?

It's quite possible that the dented oil pan is reducing the amount of oil going into the pickup, thus reducing oil pressure and sometimes disallowing VTEC. Go ahead and replace it.

Also, why is this in the Integra forum?

It's GAY huh..In that case i'll swap it out IMMEDIATELY for a B18. This is my daily driver, and its automatic so im obviously not looking for huge power. It's a cheap swap and does have good power for a sohc. With an Si tranny, in my opinion, they're pretty quick. I've seen them beat B18 integras a number of times, but thats not the point of this post. Sorry for posting in the wrong forum btw, but thanks to you guys who are actually trying to help with the problem.
