First code 7, then 9.. now 6.. help. ( 88 hatch with B18A1 block and B16A1 head)
Ok.. i know theres a sensors bad some where.. 7 never gave me any problems.. but 9 did.. i would drive for like 20-30 mintues then the RPM's jump and die.. very violently.. car tries to die.. then press on gas and it sputters or gets back up.. sometimes lasting for awhile.. or dies.. so i looked at a sensor on my b18A! block, the bottom one.. pretty sure its the temp.. it was snapped off.. kinda connected it back together since i still had a 30 minute drive.. then code 6 came on.. sensor was still loose and the white conduct inside was cracked.. then the car would just shut off.. maybe over heating? I got a mess on my hands and i need to get info before i hit up the salvage yard and rape there cars.. i have the b18A1 block with a B16A1 head.. im new to this stuff.. no idea where it is.. how it works.. could some one help me.. possibly with pictures of where the sensors are in the engine bay..
Thank you all for your help.
Thank you all for your help.
First off get a service manual like the helms.
It is a huge resource and will help you tremendously with troubleshooting ecu error codes.
Code 6 ECT-Engine Coolant temperature sensor On the passenger side of the cylinder head
Code7 TPS throttle position sensor. It is on the throttlebody
Code 9 CKP Crankshaft position sensor. This is in the distributor.
