Default Tein Camber Plates on Stock Size Strut Pistons - DONE

I'm almost done. Its a bit of custom fab work, but it still comes out to be the cheapest (and maybe best) option if you have access to a machine shop. I'm mounting them on Konis and GCs, but you could easily use them with stock struts too (same dimensions). Stock sized springs??? I don't know the answer yet. That would be a much more complicated trick because the seat is so big and its not really flat. I also don't think it could be made completely from aluminum.... but someone else can do that fab project.
All I have left is to turn a clearance angle into the top surface of the seat. I don't think I'll have issues, but I'm going to make sure. The seat is 6061, the new nut is 316 stainless. Both parts are needed because the Tein pillowball has an 18mm bore, the SS-P and Flex kits use 14mm pistons. The threading on top of the piston is M12x1.25. I'm going to install all this stuff in the car on Friday night/Saturday Morning, so I'll know all on sunday, but here's how it all came out. Everything fits perfectly and my seat is much beefier than Ground Control's so I anticipate no problems at all.

Total for all parts including some new OE Honda stuff because I sold mine...
Konis $525
Ground Controls $296
Tein Camber Plates $202
4" Dia bar of 6061 $15.01
1" Hex bar of 316 $2.07
New Honda Rear Upper Hats and Bumpstops $74.12
Blown Struts (for housings) $50
$1164.20

There's a 6mm standoff between the seat and the bottom of the pillowball. All I did was copy all of teins dimensions and work them into the seat. But just to be on the safe side, thats the clearance angle I was talking about.

I hope you can see that

i may have to try that.

that upper mount IS pretty beefy, unibrow engineering, but very effective!

thanks for documenting that!

Hey, I bet you could make some $ selling these to EP owners who have spring/shock/coilover setups that don't have camber plates.

I finished them off... here's the final product

I don't have any problems now even coming close to having interference. Its all going in the car friday.
It took me 7 hours to make all the hardware by hand. I don't think I'm going to make that much money spending that much time in the machine shop. I made myself a set, thats all I needed.

Very nicely. They fit perfectly, no noises that I don't want to hear.
I still can't play around too much, Ground Control sent me rear springs that are waaaaaay too short for the car, so even with the collars on top of the adjusters, the rear tires are in the fenders. I need to get that fixed first. But the front works perfectly.

I haven't had much time to play with it yet. As it is right now, just with the drop and the plates set to 0 (so the toe wasn't so bad I couldn't drive it home), it looks like i have a degree and a half. I wouldn't be surprised if I could get 2.25 or 2.5 out of it. I'll play with it later in the week when I get more time.... Thermo exam is kinda taking up lots of time right now.
