I'm glad they are done building them, there a **** tire anyway....the Toyo Proxes 4 is a MUCH better tire than that damn Azenis ever THOUGHT about being. I have ran both, I hated the Azenis so much I took them off after 800 miles....they SUCK

actually they're a great tire for the price. i think the proxes is $30 more per tire? while i'm saddened to see them go, i'm anxious to see what the 615s can offer.

I'll join you Dennis. LOL
Chris @ Tires.com: Do you have some info on the new 615? As in I've HEARD the sidewall isn't as stiff as the older style. Any confirmation to that?
I think it sucks about discontinuing the old style because I don't like the idea of paying more money for the new ones just to get better wet traction when I try not to drive in the rain much.

From what I've heard they used a new material in the sidewalls that is supposed to be even stiffer.

And called everywhere.......No longer available or being made....Every set I found were spoken for.
The Falken RT 615 is the replacement.....And Guess what. They cost $30 to $35 bucks more for each tire.......And are on Backorder from Falken. BS
Nice Right

You work at a Discount Tire Co. in SD? I just got a set of the Azenis RT-215s from the Discount Tire Co. in Miramar off the 805. They were 195 60 14s. Ordered them Tues. night, got 'em wrapped around my wheels Wednesday morning.
Do all the DTCs use the same supplier because maybe the Miramar one had some secret source because it didn't seem like it was any hard task for them to get them for me? And it was $65 a tire (including mount/balance/valvestem) fyi.

205/50R15's are a little more popular than that size. We have 730 of the 195/60R14's in stock right now.

They removed the steel belt that was found in the sidewall, and replaced with nylon ply and changed the rubber compound in the sidewall. Also, they added more bead filler to help lateral handling.
Mike C. was right, they're as stiff.

The discount up here just quoted me $111.30 for one 205/50-15. I have a friend that works at costco so he can install the tires but I still think thats a bit much for this tire....maybe it will be worth it.
