Default Opinions on Apexi N1 dampers vs. Mugen Nzero

I have had a order in for some Mugen N0 dampers for about three months now and am getting tired of waiting. I can have the Apexi N1's pretty quickly but how do they compare? Should I wait it out or what?

Which Apexi N1 damper are you reffering to? There are quite a few models, each with different specs. If you are thinking of the 99 Spec N1 (which is the most commonly seen model being sold by private parties), then without a doubt the Mugen is better. The Type Pro Spec N1, is a little better but also alot more expensive, almost Mugen price. Then you have the 2000 Spec N1, with the huge 52mm piston...that's real expensive and I haven't seen them in the states yet.

In any case I believe EPGONZALEZ had the Apexi N1 99 spec on his ITR, now he has the Mugen (N-1 or N-zero, i'm not sure). Hit em up for all your Mugen questions, lol.

I would hold out for the Mugen N-Zeros. I ordered mine and got them pretty quickly, that's odd that you have had to wait so long.

I had the golden opportunity to ride in Andrew's car at last year's Expo, and his car handles unreal, I was truely amazed. He has the Mugen N-1 kit. The N-Zero kit is suppose to be essentially the same with a bit softer valving so that they are tolerable on the streets. Wait for the Mugen N-Zero

The APEXi N1's aren't as good as the MUGEN N1, but it is a lot cheaper and is a lot better than stock. It is a good setup since it could be driven in the street, as well as the track. I know many daily driven ITR's that have used them on the track with good results.
