have no idea what i did now
ok here goes, i have a 99 civic ex turboed with a T3, uberdata and OBD1 conversion, 450cc injectors, and all the other stuff that goes along with a turbo.
i just got back from driving to the store and while i was coming home my car jerked real hard then died. so i coasted to a side street and checked everything out. it looked ok so i started it back up and started to linp it home because i didn't want to **** anything up until i found out why it did that. so i am driving like an old lady, shifting at 3500 or lower and i noticed that when the tack goes over 3000 it starts jumping around like crazy. i also noticed that it is idleing at or around like 500. no CEL's but yesterday fo rno reason i got a code 17. cleared it and it never came back.
any suggestions to what i fucked up now?
yesterday it was running fine.

so for real you think it is in the bottom end?
i really don't need this right now. how can i start to diagnos it?

I think its distributor? What do you mean by jumping around? Usually when your tach does that its distributor/ignitor.
Trending Topics
the tach will just start to jump up and the engine isn't revving higher then about 3000 but th tach will show all the way to 7000.

Dude STFU if you do not know what you are talking about. Phukin n0ob.
Misinformation is the killer of all.
I would check your wiring and make sure that your grounds are tight......ESPECIALLY the ground on the Thermostat housing. If you have an aftermarket tachometer installed try disconnecting it and see what happens and make sure that you do not have any contaminants inside your distributor that could throw off your Cam Position sensor or Crank Angle Sensor which determines firing time. IT could be something as simpel as a loose piece of gasket floating around in your distributor to a problem with your ECU. Whatever the problem is I am 99% sure it is electrical.
good luck to you.

you are an idiot, please never post again.
the bottom end has absolutley NOTHING to do with the reading of the tach other than the fact thats what is spinning and being counted. everything related to ignition and tach signal is in the distributor
so your cousin may have blown his engine but you have no idea what you are talking about.

IF YOU SAY SO BUT IF IT were an eletrical problem why would the car jek to a stop.even if it were in gear it would still roll .it would just stop a little faster due to drag in the motor.
