Try not to judge too quickly. I have looked for exhausts for a long time and they all seem to do the same simple concept by allowing air to flow quicker. I was searching and came across a holley air mass exhaust made by holley who has been around for a long time. It is 2.5" mandrel bent full catback with a resonator and stainless muffler. Its a bit big, but I was hoping to look past that ( the tip is 5"). Anyone think this would be worth the money to try out?

Looks pretty nice. Like you allready stated that tip is huge! & it's not fully stainless which sucks and it's probably loud but it's a damn good price.

You get what you pay for. I still cant remember what the concensus is on 2.5" vs 2.25" exhausts for these cars. With just bolt ons, whats the effect of a 2.5" catback going to do to motor performance?

 

I would only think 3" is too big for N/A on a little honda engine.

i would buy it, then weld on a es oval muffler. a muffler shop would charge just as much for custom flanged, crush bent piping.

 

thats a good idea. Is the es oval really the best bang for your buck?

 

THats not a bad price. Can you put a silencer in there without to much trouble?

Yeah 2.5 is a little big but think about this, about 99% of the big names, RS*R, greddy, etc etc run 60mm piping which is 2.36".

My cousin has this same exhaust on his EM1 and it sounds awesome(probably too loud) for most people on hear! It has a nice deep tone to it which most people like it is not raspy or lawn mowerish and he said he loves it to death. the on downfall i can think of for this exhaust is that huge 5in tip lots of attention(good and bad).

 

Its three Peices? Thats weird.

 

dude my friend got the SAME exact exhaust for his 96 civic ex for 90 bucks shipped but over all its a good exhaust i help him put it on and its loud to tell ya that there are no holes in the exhaust tip so u can place in a silencer need anything else?

i had a thermal exhaust and it was off an ek midpipe and all but the muffler tipe is to damn long so i had a invidia exhaust cat back but i wasnt sure if it would fit so i just put the invidia rear section on the thermal mid pipe it sounds pretty good --(DEEP THROATY SOUND) .
